I get a good laugh these days when someone claims they have discovered a new idea about firearms. I currently have complete set of The American Rifleman magazine from 1932 to the present almost all of the "new ideas" have been documented in back issues. ( What's that saying about studying history? I have frequently been asked where to obtain copies of articles from various magazines as most publishers will no longer take the time to do this for researchers. As a service to fellow shooters I will make available single copies of specific articles for personal, non-commercial research purposes for basically my costs. Please note that I have revised the rates below to more accurately reflect my time and costs in researching and duplicating the articles.

I have also had a rash of people asking for numerous articles that required extensive time to locate and then never ordered them after I told them I had them. It takes time to search through the indexes of ALMOST 1000 issues, and I have better things to do than to waste my time searching for obscure articles and then not having the copies ordered.
I am not set up to efficiently research articles of unknown dates or titles in the past, but if you desperately need something, contact me and I will see what I can do. Note that the yearly indexes prior to 1954 are generally poorly organized and some years in the 40s did not have year end indices. If you have a particular article that you want a copy of and can identify it by year, and hopefully by month, it will make things easier and quicker. I will be glad to furnish you with a copy for your research at the following rates:
B&W Photocopy - $1.25 per page , plus a stamped, self-addressed #10 (business size - 4 x 9.5) envelope.
Using my envelope and stamps $1.75 per pageAdobe Acrobat PDF File (color if applicable, non-editable image document) on a CD - $1.50 per page. [Note that these are 200 dpi scans and are large files which run about 2-5 MB per page. They print very well. Please add $1.50 to the price to cover the cost of the CD, mailer, and postage. Due to the fact that most email services will not allow very large attachments, which has cause me grief in the past, I no longer will email such files.
